The Quote Lady

I realized today I was about to let the week slip by without my offering to you - The Quote Lady.  I had a few thoughts about what I wanted to share, but felt the urge to rummage through my old quote binder - where I have gather some of my favorite quotes & such.  And I stumbled across a gem.  Hope you like it !

"Sacrifice comes in many forms and may not always be convenient.  Latter-Day Saint make a covenant with the Lord to sacrifice.  By doing so, we surrender our will to His, dedicating our lives to building up His kingdom and serving His children...Our challenge is to unselfishly sacrifice all that we have been given, including our will.  Elder Maxwell rightly said 'The submission of one's will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God's alter.  The many other things we "give"...are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us.'"

- Robert K. Dellenbach, "Sacrifice Brings Forth the Blessings of Heaven," Ensign, Nov. 2002

  1. Love this quote!
I love reading what you're writing -- I see such progress and strength! Sorry I don't always comment right away -- I tend to read blogs while either nursing (hard to type much) or while I'm logged in to my regular email (and too lazy to log in and out of that one and this 'HX' one too often) . . . but I read everything you post the day you post it, then try and come back once I'm logged in to comment! Love you!!

    1. Thanks, HX !! You are soo sweet. I am sooo not there into turning my will over. I want to be. I know if I keep working the steps somehow the Lord will even help me turn over my will to Him. So...I just keep plugging along.
