Parachute Packing

The Lord blessed me last night with the opportunity to chat with Scabs.  She helped me brainstorm about boundaries and parachute packing - and actually, she did most of the brainstorming.  We realized as we brainstormed how our parachutes may be different, but yet oh so necessary.  I am now continuing my efforts to search for ways to make some extra income while expecting.  I am realizing that as difficult as it is for me to set aside even $5 a month - I must - for my parachute's sake as well as my sanity.  She reminded me the people I have in my corner, made me realize I need to brush up the old resume, learn how to rely on people when I need them, and be a little more handy around the house - speaking of which - maybe I should start with figuring out how to get our printer to work again.

So, today - I have committed that the money I get babysitting for a sister in the ward next week - will be my first funds in my emergency stash.

Is your parachute packed?  If not, are you working on it?  How so?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.
